"J'ai depuis longtemps désiré faire une compilation pour célébrer le temps de Noël, car c'est une période de l'année que j'ai toujours beaucoup aimé. Non seulement la fête religieuse, mais surtout le solstice d'hiver païen qui marque le moment le plus sombre de l'année, et qui annonce le renouveau de la terre alors que les jours s'allongent à nouveau. Il y a des chants "sacrés" que j'ai toujours voulu enregistrer, comme Silent Night, Swing Lo, Sweet Chariot, et Amazing Grace, qui sont maintenant présents sur cet album, de même que certains chants traditionnels Américains comme Copper Kettle, et aussi des hymnes que j'ai écrits et que j'ai réenregistrés pour cette collection, My Redeemer et Shine Brightly. Les autres sont un mélange de pièces instrumentales et vocales que j'avais écrites pour de précédents albums, mais qui trouvent leur place ici pour former un tout, qui je l'espère exprime la chaleur, l'espoir, l'attente, l'amour et la célébration que je sens en moi. Il y a quelquefois de la mélancolie dans ma musique, et l'hiver peut être une période triste et hibernatoire, mais derrière tout cela j'espère avoir exprimé l'esprit de renouveau que je sens si constant et si profond dans mon être, et que je vois tout autour de moi en dépit de ce qui peut être perdu au cours d'une vie. Cet esprit de renouveau fait partie de toutes les religions, et des fêtes ont lieu partout autour du monde au milieu de l'hiver, et notre Noël est l'une d'entre elles" [Asher Quinn (Asha)].
"I've long wished to compile an album to celebrate Christmas-time as it's a part of the year I've always loved. Not just the religious festival and the season of goodwill, but the pagan winter solstice which marks the darkest time of the year, and heralds the coming renewal of the earth as the days grow longer again. There are "holy" songs I've always wanted to record; Silent Night, Swing Lo, Sweet Chariot, and Amazing Grace, which are now featured here, as well as the traditional American fireside ballad Copper Kettle, and also hymns that I've written which I re-recorded for this collection, My Redeemer and Shine Brightly, as I wanted them to stand alone more. The rest of the material is a mix of instrumental and vocal tracks that I've written for previous albums, but which come together here to form a whole, which I hope eypresses the warmth, the hope, the longing, the love and the celebration I feel inside. There is sometimes sorrow and melancholy in my music, and winter can be a sad and hibernatory season, but behind all of that I hope I have expressed the spirit of renewal which I feel so keenly as a constant inside my being, and which I feel so keenly as a constant inside my being, and which I see around me all the time despite what may become lost to us in the passage of a life. That spirit of renewal is behind all the religious and ethnic Thanksgiving festivals the world over in mid-winter, including, of course, our Christmas time". [Asher Quinn (formerly Asha)]
