Child of transference est une oeuvre avant tout vocale. Un mélange de rythmes contemporains, et des structures de chansons influencées par la musique classique. Dans une tentative d'accorder et de mettre en exergue les sentiments et les émotions, l'absence de message lyrique qui d'habitude soutient une chanson était importante. Le texte a été écrit de manière phonétique avec des mots choisis tels des instruments de musique. L'idée étant de maximiser le ressenti et les émotions en utilisant l'expression vocale seule. En enlevant l'effet distrayant des mots, le son devient universel et le langage même de la musique.

Wendy Stark has been writing songs since childhood. Drawing from emotional and spiritual experience, her music is both reflective and inspiring. The structures of the songs were influenced by classical music with thematic qualities. In an attempt to only put feelings and emotions across it was important there was a lack of lyrical message that normally sustains conventional song form. The text was written in a phonetic manner with the words viewed as an instrumental sound. The idea being to maximise the feelings and emotions using vocal expression alone. By removing the distraction of words the sound becomes universal as is the language of music.
