Berceuses et chants de Noël, valses et rêves, il s’agit là d’une collection apaisante de mélodies classiques inspirées par la saison d'hiver. Interprétée à la harpe avec une délicate clarté, cette musique est tout à la fois voluptueuse et reposante, et dégage une paisible beauté. Ces musiques sont pour la plupart fort connues, mais elles sont vibrantes et rafraîchissantes dans ces arrangements sur la harpe de Patricia, avec parfois en complément la flûte ou les cordes. Ces oeuvres évoquent l'âpreté d'un matin de décembre lorsque la neige scintille et que la glace jette des flammes, et pourtant la chaleur humaine dégagée par cette musique suffit à vous envelopper d'un cocon sonore relaxant.
Lullabies and carols, waltzes and dreams, this is a serene collection of classical melodies inspired by the season of Winter. Performed on the harp with a delicate clarity, this music is both sensuous and restful, bringing a calmer and peaceful beauty to the listener. Much of the music by composers such as Vivaldi, Mendlessohn and Bach is well-known, yet sounds refreshingly vibrant in these arrangements for Patricia’s harp, blending on occasions as it does with the perfect complement of flute or strings. The playing and production have a clarity befitting the sharpness of a December morning when the snow sparkles and ice is aflame. Yet the human warmth generated by such musical craftsmanship is sufficient to place you in a relaxing cocoon of sound.
